General Questions about the "Music Break" Promotion

How do I enter the "Music Break" promotion?
It's easy! Just follow these simple steps to participate:
1 – Buy one of the specially marked Kit Kat Chunky, Kit Kat Four Finger or Kit Kat Senses bars
2 – Enter a few details about yourself to register
3 – Log-in and enter the 12 digit code found on the inside of the wrapper
4 – Browse and preview the songs available for download
5 – Download your track of choice
6 – Grab another pack and repeat. Remember, you can only claim up to five free songs per registered email address.

Do I need an email address to participate?

Yes, your email address is needed as part of the online Registration process. We also need your email address to send you confirmation of the unique codes you have redeemed. It is very important you enter the email address correctly. Please note that once an email address has been registered you cannot register a second account under the same email address.

Do I have to be a certain age to participate?
Yes. You must be at least 18 years of age to register on the website, and participate in the Promotion.
Who is eligible to participate?
All permanent residents of the United Kingdom (including the Channel Islands and Isle of Man), and the Republic of Ireland, who are 18 or over.
How long will the Promotion last?
The Music Break website will go live in August 2009 to allow registration, entering of codes and music downloads. The website will no longer allow registration or redemption after 30th April 2010.
What is available on the website?
The site makes available for download hundreds of thousands of MP3 digital recordings. For each unique code that is redeemed on the site, a single track can be downloaded. A maximum of 5 unique codes can be redeemed per account, and therefore no more than 5 tracks can be downloaded by one account. There is a maximum of one account per customer.
How can I download a track?
Use one of the many different methods on the site, to find one or more tracks that are of interest. Once you have found a track that you would like to download, then click the Download button. If you are not already logged in, you will be asked to log in. If you have at least one remaining unique code redemption in your account, you will then be taken to a confirmation screen. If you confirm, then the download will begin.
What is the Verification Code for?
The Verification Code is a code made from a picture and is found on the Registration and Redemption pages. Typing the characters from a picture helps ensure that an actual person is completing the Registration form so this serves as a security measure.
Why do you need my email details?
We need your email details to help ensure that you only register once. There are a limited number of downloads available to all our consumers, and we would like to let as many different people as possible download the available music. In addition, if you are interested, you can also choose to allow your email address to be passed on to Universal Music, who are partnering with us to provide the music tracks. Or you can choose just to sign up to receive emails from Nestlé itself. Nestlé respects your privacy and any information entered will only be used for the purpose of carrying out this promotion, unless you have opted in to receive further information from us. A copy of the Nestlé Privacy Policy is available on the website. Click on "Privacy Policy" which appears in the bottom left hand corner of every screen.
I am concerned about getting unwanted emails from registering with the promotion.
You will only receive emails from Nestlé if you opt in to do so when registering. You can view your profile by logging on and clicking "My Account". Similarly, you will only receive emails from Universal Music if you select the option to receive communications from them.
I have forgotten my Login details
If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link on the promotion home page and we will send you an email with your password. If you do not get an email it may be because you have not entered your email address properly when registering. You should receive an email when you register and each time you enter a code.

I need to change some information that I entered for Registration.
You can do this by clicking on "My Account" and updating with the relevant information. If you need to change your email address you will have to contact our Consumer Services department. Unique Code Questions

Which products are participating in this promotion?

The promotion is available on special packs of Kit Kat Chunky, Kit Kat Four Finger and Kit Kat Senses, whilst stocks last.

I can't enter my unique code.
Please check the following:
Check the numbers and letters in the code carefully.
All letters must be in upper case.
If you are having trouble with an O, or 0, make sure it is not a D or vice versa.
If you are having trouble with a U, make sure it is not a V or vice versa.
If you are having trouble with an H, try a K or vice versa.
If you still cannot enter the code after several different attempts, please contact Consumer Services on 0800 604 604.
I can't read my Code - what do I do?

Nestlé does not accept responsibility for codes that cannot be read due to the way the wrapper has been opened. If your code is illegible due to a genuine printing problem, please return the wrapper to Nestlé at "Nestlé Music Break Promotion, PO Box 122, Uckfield, East Sussex TN22 1XP". Please include your name, email and full address details, and a replacement code will be sent to you.

How many times can I enter a code?

You can only enter a code once, after which it becomes invalid. Repeatedly trying to enter the same code will result in your account being frozen.

I entered my code incorrectly, what do I do?
You can try to enter it again, please see above for common errors. Repeatedly trying to enter incorrect codes will be seen as an attempt to hack the system and result in your account being frozen for 24 hours. If your account is repeatedly frozen it may be deleted if we are concerned for the website's security.
Do I have to purchase a Kit Kat product to enter the promotion?
For residents of Northern Island, "Music Break" is a No Purchase Necessary Promotion. Northern Ireland residents can send a stamped envelope to Nestlé at "Nestlé Music Break Promotion, PO Box 122, Uckfield, East Sussex TN22 5UU" to request a Code. Please include your name and email address details, and one code will be issued per stamped envelope received.

Music Download Questions

How can I start downloading music on the site?
You'll need to buy at least one specially marked Kit Kat bar, and then redeem the unique code printed on the inside of the wrapper. Once you have at least one code in your account, use one of the many different methods on the site, to find one or more tracks that are of interest. Once you have found a track that you would like to download, just click the Download button. If you are not already logged in, you will be asked to log in. If you have at least one remaining unique code redemption in your account, you will then be taken to a confirmation screen. If you confirm, then the download will begin.
My download failed half way through. Can I download the same track again?
Yes, you can. Any track that you "purchase" using a unique code can be downloaded multiple times. The actual number of times you can re-download the same track will vary from track to track. But it will be at least five times. To re-download an already "purchased" track then go to My Account and access your existing Downloads from there.
How many tracks can I "purchase" all together?
You can redeem a maximum of five unique codes within a single account. Since each unique code entitles you to a single track, this means that you can download a maximum of five tracks per account. There is a limit of one account per person.
I downloaded a track, but don't really like it. Can I give it back and download another?
No, unfortunately this is not possible. Once you click the Download button and confirm your "purchase" you will not be able to change your choice. Almost all tracks allow you to "Preview" a short segment of the track before downloading. Please make sure you like the track before downloading it.
Is there any limitation as to where and how often I can play my downloaded tracks?
No, none at all. The tracks that you download are high quality MP3 files, which have no limitations placed on how often you play them or on how many different music playing devices.

You will need to contact Consumer Services to change your email address.

Website Questions

Do I need to install Macromedia Flash Plugin if I enter online?
No. Flash is not necessary to enter the promotion, although it will enhance your online experience from an appearance perspective. All operations within the website can be completed without the use of Flash.
I am unable to install the Flash Macromedia Flash Plug-in. What can I do?
The use of the Macromedia Flash Plug-in is simply designed to make the website more appealing. You can still register and redeem barcodes online, even if you do not have Flash installed.
What are Cookies?
Cookies are files containing information about visitors to a website (e.g. user name and preferences). This information is provided by the user during the first visit to a web server. The server records this information in a text file and stores this file on the visitor's hard drive. When the visitor accesses the same website again the server looks for the cookie and configures itself based on the information provided.
Why are they used on this Website?
Cookies are used on many sites, including this one to allow users to move from page to page while remembering who they are.
Can I switch them off?
If you switch cookies off, you will not be able to Logon and take part in the Promotion.
Are my details secure on this Website?
This website uses Verisign to provide 128-bit encryption to all of our promotion participants. This encrypts the data that you send and receive from the site during the Registration and Log On process. It encrypts your personal information including username and password so that it is impossible to read when it travels across the internet.
What's the minimum browser requirement for this site?
